This summer I quit my old job and accepted a new challenge, which gave me the chance to take a break, make use of paternity leave and spend quality time with my family.
Also, after quite a while, this allowed me to find the time to write an article for the windows.developer magazine.
This article is the first of a 2 part series on implementing your own blog application from scratch running on .NET Core. It's laid out in a step by step manner taking you from File - New Project to an up and running blog application.
I am aware that building such a thing from scratch might not be everybody's idea of a good time and it really depends on your needs and whether you want full control or your application or not. However, it is basically what I did for this very blog and I considered it a good idea to wrap up my findings and learnings in this series of articles.
The articles in this magazine are written in German, so apologies to my non-German-speaking friends and followers.
If you are interested in the actual source code for this project, take a look at my GitHub repo.
Also, make sure to check out my other writing in case your are interested.
