  • Ever been told in an electronics store that you "absolutely need this ridiculously expensive HDMI cable for your Blu-Ray player"? You instinctively knew that this is complete and utter BS but couldn’t argue for lack of facts. This post explains that matter and solves this problem once and for all. Why all HDMI cables are the same.
  • Processing.js is a JavaScript port of the generative art and visualization framework Processing. Check out the amazing samples and demos running in your browser.
  • Quentin Tarantino – you just have to love his work. For a change, here’s a link to a list of his favorite movies.
  • Calibre is an application for managing your e-book library. It’s free, open source and allows you to convert your e-books between all the different available formats. Check out the demo video to see how it works.
  • I love the the Sysinternals tool suite. The only thing that bothered my about it was the missing update mechanism. Finally, someone wrote an updating tool for it: SyncTools for Sysinternals.
  • Do you remember WAP? Or maybe you even owned and used a WAP enabled mobile phone? Then (given you live in a German speaking country) you might as well remember the awesome WAP clinic TV spot. Hilarious!
  • Tired of using boring old Lorem Ipsum blind text designing your web sites. Fillerama generates HTML blind texts from your favorite TV shows, e.g. Dexter, Futurama or The Simpsons. And yes - it does Lorem Ipsum as well ;-)
  • Worst album covers of all time.
  • A huge collection of free silhouette vector graphics. E.g. ninjas :-)
